What can I say about {C} ...
All my girls are smart cookies, but this one is "BLOW YOU AWAY SMART!". For a little thing, and I mean little (23 pounds fully clothed), she talks a lot, has a huge vocabulary (speaks full sentences), and is quick (she gets jokes and things I don't think a typical 21 month old would get).
Even with all the "big girl" things that she does, she is still MY little baby ... loves her hugs, and wants her Mommy. It seems that everyday, around the 4:30pm time, she is ready to climb back into my uterus. That can certainly make for a difficult end to my day with trying to get to activities, do homework, or make dinner.
Someday I will miss all of this ...
Show us love.
I really do think that animals are capable of love ...

Actually this photo came from YAHOO ... I just love PANDAS. There are plenty more to view ... HERE
BUT, in my life I have plenty of pictures that say love. Here is just one of the little loves in my life ...
She is 20 months old and this video is nearly a year old (haven't done much video taping in a long time). Where has the time gone????
This is my first attempt at putting a video on VOX. It is also from my old camera and not from my real video camera.
AND as usual, I fumble with words whenever I video ... so embarrassing.
Even with the noise in the backseat, I sometimes have amazing ideas or thoughts running through my head. I find myself looking at the scenery and saying ... gotta look that up or write it down. My big problem is short term memory. I forget most of what I think, which is so frustrating. Seriously .... I need a tape recorder in the car.
Lately my thoughts ...
- Exercising. I have started back up and I am once again reminded HOW GOOD I FEEL. Even after a few days of exercising (running, ball, pilates) ... I feel stronger and more energized, but most of all HAPPIER! A natural high for me, which I do need right now. Good genes have also provided me one thing for which I am truly blessed, and that is a pretty lean, strong body. It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to get back into shape. I keep imagining that if I REALLY stood with a regular program, I can have one of those hot bodies ;) ... LOL!
- I have read too many homeschooling blogs. Some have provided me a lot of encouragement, great ideas, and inspiration. Some of them have also given me a feeling of discouragement. I have to remember that however I decide to school my girls, I will do MY BEST, and not someone elses.
- I am rather proud of {B} and myself. We have been working on her reading and she is doing WONDERFUL. She is so excited to do it. We don't work on it daily, but when it is quiet, she reminds me that we need to do lessons. All her books are in my sunroom, and she will gather them up and plop them on the kitchen table begging to work with me. Last night she was so excited to show off her skills to Dad ... he was impressed, which made my heart soar!
- {C} is very demanding lately. She has the ability to go from 0 to 100 in a second. Happy, then screaming, and then loving. She speaks incredibly well, and on the occasion that she can't be understood, she is so frustrated. This is a hard age for me to deal with. I love when they start to show playing skills, imagination, and independence, but I also don't love the occasional outbursts ...no fun at all .
I came home from a night of returns/shopping ... I never do that, but I took the older two girls with me. I was hoping for a successful run, but it was rather disappointing. Shopping is usually that way for me. I did get to spend some time with my girls, so in that regard, the experience was positive. A moment to be thankful for.
Jumping ahead ...
Scott put {C} to bed and she was having some trouble going to sleep. It was nearly 9pm and that is very late for her. It probably didn't help that she took a late nap today, and woke up close to 4pm.
I let her moan, wimper, and cry for a bit, but soon it was clear that she was needing "the MOM".
I walked upstairs to her room,
picked her up along with her big green silky blanket,
and we settled into the big, blue leather LaZBoy chair.
It was instant gratification for {C}.
The moment we sat, her body just melted into my arms, and I could feel genuine peace from that little body. I have birthed 5 babies, felt the major sleep deprivation (and cursed it at times), but holding a sleeping baby in my arms (at any hour) is the absolute greatest feeling for me.
I am needed ... I am loved ... I am the best person for this job!
As I sat in that blue recliner, I also thought ... "how many more instances like this will I have?" Another moment to be thankful for.
This one from {B} ...
- a flashlight that really works, not like the one on the floor
- a light bulb for my fan (light)
- a stuffed bear that is soft like my dog and my kitty
1. I can get some batteries to make her flashlight work
2. a light bulb from the garage to make the fan light brighter
3. in that stuffed animal closet, I know there is a bear in there.
and one from {C} ...
She has an amazing vocabulary. Lately she gets a lot of what she wants because she is by far my most polite child ... always a please (Peez), thank you (tank yuuuu), or your welcome (ya' welcome). Recently she has become quite fond of marshmallows. Who am I kidding ... she LOVES them! Anyway, she came to me with her snack cup, and I gave her a few marshmallows. A few minutes later she came back AGAIN with her cup. I said "No, you will get a belly boo boo" to which she replied "I say peeeeeezzzzzz!". How could I say no (blushing)? I gave her a few more marshmallows, and she walked away saying "tank yuuu, ya' welcome".
Love my girls!
I REALLY want to learn a little more about this complex program. A local camera store is hosting a class for basic photoshop. I called them this afternoon, but I got a weird response from the guy I spoke with. He made the class seem like it was really basic, and not for people who wanted to learn the (very simple)tools ... confused?????It seemed like a lot of people must have asked about the class. I think for now I will play with it myself and look at all of the downloaded "watch and learn photoshop tips" that Scott gets emailed to himself.
Show us something dangerously cute.
