I am thinking of summer, of family, and of course that involves lots of children.  Between my parents 4 children, they have 15 grandchildren.  Our family is BLESSED!

My mind is heavily focused on family in recent days ... hence the new header photo on my blog.

She might be totally embarrassed by this, but I am so proud of her ... gakate . 

SISTERS

 She is my little sis, but my closest sibling ... just 2.5 years younger than I.  We grew up together.  I looked after her, but she never really needed it.  That girl was strong from the day she was born ... overcoming many birth defects and illnesses.  She is spunky and she knows it ;)  She gave birth to a miniature version of her  ... so glad that she gets to experience just a little of what I did (LOL!). 

Like every family we have had our ups and downs.  Despite the struggles, we love each other and it is GENUINE. 

 I also have a very successful older brother  ... very smart, but struggled in his early years with alcohol and drugs.  He has been sober for many years and now has a wonderful family (5 children and a loving wife).  His life is filled with many successes ... love, GOD, family, and money.  That man has a mightly nice pad too.

SISTER and BROTHER

My older sister has struggled in recent years.  She withstood many years of abuse and has been very strong.  She is doing really well right now and I pray that her life continues to improve.  She is a kind soul ... caring to all people especially the elderly and sick who she cares for day in and out (she is a nurse like I was).

I realize that my life has been touched by GOD in so many ways.  I am the "lucky" one and I know it.  Even when things seem rough  for me, I know that I am well taken care of by the man upstairs. I am blessed in so many ways ...
