NORAH JONES on Thursday evening with the husband!!!!!! I think it will be a great night out.
CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
I can count on one hand how many concerts that I have been to ...
- Billy Joel/Elton John
- Harry Connick Jr. (2x)
- Bruce Springsteen
Someday, I will think fondly of the crazy days when I felt like I couldn't catch my breath.
I think I will
Maybe??
or Maybe not ;)
Mondays and Wednesdays are my hardest days of the week... especially after school. Couple that with my husband who has been MIA with an overload of work. I think he went to work at 5am yesterday and came home at 8:45pm ... just late enough to miss all the action.
This is multi-tasking at its best ...
-
Leave to pick up girls from school at 2:15pm
-
Get home at 3pm
-
Snacks for the girls, change into swim gear, pack pool bags
-
Out the door at 3:40pm to go to the pool
-
{M} starts her STARS swim practice (4-4:30pm)
-
Go to the swim office (with {B}, {C}, and {E}) to get a new swim suit for {E} ... she tries on several
-
Drop {C} off in childcare ... our pool is part of a large gym
-
So reading lessons with {B}
-
{E} and {K} do STERLINGS swim practice from 4:30-5:45pm
-
{B} sits in the hot tub while {M} does some of her math homework and I get to read 4 pages from a book (a very brief moment of peace)
-
Get {C} from childcare(I don't want to go over the one hour mark) and get {B} into the big pool for her swim lesson (5:30-6pm)
-
Chase {C} around the pool area ... she is ready to jump in like her big sisters (YIKES)
-
Quickly dress, and head home
-
Arrive back home at 6:20pm
-
Put {M} and B} in the shower while {E} and {K} START their homework
-
turn on a show for {C} ... I need a TV babysitter for a short while so that I can start to COOK DINNER
-
{E} tries to ask me a bunch of science fair related questions while I try to juggle cooking (I think she has no idea that I can't really think too clearly at the moment), throwing wet towels in the wash, and checking on the 4 and 6 year old who are taking their own shower.
-
Get the girls out of the shower only to note that there is STILL conditioner in their hair ... quick rinse, and then dry off
-
Husband calls to say that he is wrapping things up
-
Finish dinner
-
EAT
-
homework and showers (for the bigger girls) for everyone
-
bed for {C} ... thankfully she has a bath in the morning
-
marker/paper time for {B}
-
help {M} finish her homework
-
proofread {K}'s language arts paragraph ... needs lot of help
-
My loving, caring husband calls to tell me that he is just NOW leaving work
-
some dessert for the girls
-
stories and bed for {M} and {B}
-
Husband comes home and helps {E} with her science fair questions
-
tell {E} and {K} to go to bed
-
wash dinner dishes
-
throw load of laundry in ... the girls need their uniform sweatshirts so I need to make sure they get into the dryer
-
HUSBAND hugs me and tells me how much he loves me (while I remain unemotional) , tells me to lay in bed, puts his BOSE headphones on my head, and makes me listen to Norah Jones new songs on his iPod. I have been told to RELAX!!!!!
-
I get up, move clothing to the dryer, talk with husband for a few minutes
-
SLEEP at 10:15pm
LONG DAY that will be repeated on WEDNESDAY (hopefully with a husband who will be home A LOT earlier)
